My son (who will be two on monday) has finally decided that cuddling with mommy and dady isn't all that bad. Problem is that he likes to do it when he's tired before his nap, I'm at work then. When I get home he's so excited to see daddy home (and a chance to play rougher than mommy likes to) that cuddling is the last thing from his mind. I'm looking forward to going back to school so I'll be home more often, and can spend more time with him.

Well does your wife or you put him to bed at night. You could cuddle with him then. My hubby does that to my son.

I think it all balances out. Even after spending the day with me my kids can't seem to be without me. I call my 2 year-old an accessory. Most women have handbags, I have Sean! Can't leave home without him! (I don't mean home alone, I mean with my husband). Anyway, when my husband comes home they can't even see me. And at night, before bed, my son snuggles on the couch with my husband. Something he NEVER does with me.

Kids have phases. At the moment my 3yo, it's like I don't even exist once Daddy walks in the door. So yeah, I understand how you feel. He is just learning who he is in himself and one day it might turn around and he might come to you for a cuddle occasionally.
