CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

May Jesus who came to heal the broken hearted and to set at liberty them that are bruised hold you close to His heart. I pray that encouraging words and experiences will come your way.

I too join in prayer this morning that the soothing oil of joy in the Lord flow down over you, for true joy comes only from Him. May you have a fresh revelation today of just how much He loves you and me. And in your saddness, may you find the strength to praise His name, for that praise will cover you. As you hide under the shelter of His wings, I know that He will protect you, and keep you safe, as He brings you through. May our God of love caress you and tend you, and place people and opportunities for you that will manifest His presence, and soothe you in your saddness. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, and in agreement with you and kisstheson, and thank God that His Word is true!

Here are some scriptures that help me when I am down:
(there really is power in the Word, it is stronger than all our thoughts and feelings, and reciting, reading or meditating on His Word activates that overcoming power of the Holy Spirit, which Jesus bled and died to give us)
May we all feel His anointing today as we proclaim His Word, bind up our broken hearts, and are set free! He will give us beauty for ashes so we can glorify Him.

the man thought a moment ... and responded, compared to that I am doing fairly well ...
the old addage... I used to complain I had no shoes, till I met a man without any feet... context ... frame of reference ...
