I had similar struggles but with my old Navy buddies. Now there's the dynamic of having school age children. I'm about 10 years older than a lot of the parents of my younger daughter. On the occasion I do meet some parents who are about my age I tend to get along better with the mothers than the fathers. Most of the fathers are not very interesting people; all they want to talk about is work, sports, and maybe hunting. Then there's the true disaster situations that I've encountered once or twice where all the purported adults want to talk about is tattoos, weed and getting high.

What I do when I feel I have no one, I just talk to God.

He helps me not feel lonely.
Also you can ask God to help you find new Friends!! God Is Able!!

*Deep sigh* Did your friend have anything wrong with him in any way? I am saying this because I am autistic and I don't always talk all the time. Sometimes I am very quiet and introspective and I seek a quiet place of solitude just to think. Its because I am introverted in real life. It comes with the condition of being autistic.

Did he genuinely not like you and is a bad person, or does he have something wrong with him and he is just misunderstood? Some people are just introverted you know. A lot of extroverts and outgoing people misunderstand people like this. It doesn't mean they are bad people or they hate you or anything. They are just different.

Are you one of those people who likes to talk a lot? Are you outgoing? Do you like to socialize and be in large crowds and have many friends? Do you attend a lot of parties? Let me tell you right now that not everyone is like that. Some people, like me, just crave solitude sometimes to be alone with our own thoughts. A peaceful environment helps us recharge our batteries so to speak. That is the difference between extroversion and introversion.
