Just put on my precious vinyl copy of Horrendous Disc. Some of us remember how bad Christian music was before this album . . . .

Feelin' old -- I turn 40 tomorrow.

I have a lot of memories tied in with that album. Even today, I know every note on it.

I also own a Stryper "Soldiers Under Command" (1985) and Bloodgood "Self-titled" (1986) vinyl. It's cool to have! :)

The earliest good Christian rock I own is Petra's debut album (1974)!

A bunch of years ago, when I was going through my "apostasy" phase, I got rid of all my old christian albums, except:

Larry Norman - Only Visiting This Planet
Larry Norman - In Another Land
Resurrection Band - Colours
Daniel Amos - Alarma
Daniel Amos - Horrendous Disc

This isn't a "Best of the Moldy Oldies" thing--just the albums that held up through faith, loss of faith, and regaining faith.

No real point here, just a little random testimony and a little warning: Even if your faith wavers for a while, DON'T CHUCK YOUR CHRISTIAN ALBUMS!!!! They are hard to replace later

I've got a bunch of old vinyl stuff. I've got 5 Larry Norman albums, 3 Petra, 3 Steve Taylor, 5 Phil Keaggy, 4 Rez band, Dion's Christian LP, Keith Green, Leslie (Sam) Phillips and certain other 80's one-timers (i.e. other stuff I can't think of at the moment).

Good stuff!

:)
