Trying my hand at creating sounds. I have 3 sample vids on youtube. Could you give a listen and give feedback? Thanks. I know that they're not everyones style of music.

OK. I will attempt to provide constructive criticism on this particular clip you've posted here, for what it's worth. This is all subjective of course and I'm not even an audio producer or anything like that. I'm just saying what comes to mind, rubbish or not.

First of all: where's the bass?! I'm expecting it to kick in at 0:19, then at 0:34... but no. Some lower end sawtooth action does finally seem to kick in around 1:07 but it's not emphasized enough in the mix. The track needs bass and it needs to help the dynamic contrast. For example it should drop out at 0:52 and come in again at 1:07 (ie., the drop) accompanied by a fill of some kind; perhaps the cliched but still effective reverse crash cymbal thingy. Just some kind of marker so you know where everything's dropping down and building up again. Dynamics is everything.

Second: with your arpeggio sequence that comes in around 0:52 a little bit of stereo panning and reverb I think would probably make it a little more interesting. Same at the end too perhaps. Can't really tell unless I can compare though, just comes to mind.

Third: I feel your sawtooth bass thingy coming in around 2:12 should be more aggressively rhythmic. The whole ending needs to be stronger, it feels a bit anti-climatic. Maybe a tamborine loop and some synth choir or something in the back of the mix would just help it feel stronger. Dunno.

There you go, my obsessive nitpicking over your 2 minute track at 5am in the morning. Good night. :)
