FB Help!

I have recently started using the "Follow Post" option here. But it isn't giving me notifications of new posts. I checked my FB settings and I don't see where I can tweak this. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

For example:
I see a Jeff Foxworthy post on my Feed and want to read new comments as they come in. So I click the arrow in the top right of the post and hit Follow Post.

Forgot to mention. I'm usually on FB running Chrome on Windows 7 or 8.

I don't spend enough time on Facebook to know all of those quirks. The only thing I do is I have my phone notify me when certain people post.

Go to the page you want and "like" the page. There is an option for notifications you can check all posts, friends posts or turn them off. I also use lists to keep certain type posts together and view them as I like. I have "Music" "Cooking" etc and people or pages that usually give info or talk about these items I do not show in my newsfeed but rather add them to a list and then depending on my mood I read the posts from a certain list.

This is for posts from groups I already Like. I've already done all that.

This is for posts from a group I already Like that show up on my Feed. I Follow that specific post to see when new comments are coming in so I can take part in that particular discussion. But I don't get any notices. I did get one notice from one post when the admin of that group posted. So I know something is happening, just not what is supposed to happen.
