How Great Is Our God -

OH YEAH! I love that song too!!! It's deff. annointed! :)

I wish I could share some of my favourites with you but they are Hungarians, and even though I'd translate the lyrics, I just can't share the melody and one without the other doesn't give you the big picture....

Glad you like it... try me... try some of the lyrics on me, I bet they are fantastic!

And clare06, How Great Thou Art is an absolute classic... best hymn ever written... and one of my fave songs full stop.

You are sooooooooo cooooooool LivingWorhsip! :)
Ok, let me try. Now imagine a pretty fast song, with really cool melody.
I write it in Hungarian too, just to give a little cultural insight ;)

A játéknak vége Isten harcra hív, (The game is over, God calls you to fight)
Te döntöd el hogy kivel vívsz, (You decide whom do you fight with)
De ne várj csodát, ha a rossz oldalon állsz. (But don't expect miracles if you stand by the wrong side)

Lehetne könnyebb is, de nem így van, (Life could be easier, but it is not)
Van egy gondolat ami fogva tartja a szívemet: (I have a thought in my mind that captures my heart)
Hogy Isten hazavár. (That God is waiting for me at "home")

ref. Odaadom kincsem, odaadok mindnet, (I give my treasures, I give everything)
Hogy az örök életet megnyerjem (So that I could hit eternity)
Ami harc vár rám, tudom rád is vár, (The fight that I have to fight I know is waiting for you too)
Veled küzdeni kész a szívem. (but with you I'M ready for it)
And some bridges and repetition, but I don't want to make it that long.... :)

It's not the best translation, but this is one of my pres. favourite. A guy from church wrote it :) There are other really excellent ones....but as I read it back I can just feel that it's not the same in English... Just like I like the original English songs a lot better then the transleted versions...

Though it would be cool if once ppl in other countries would sing OUR translated songs ;)

hehehehehhehe! You guys are so funny!!! I'm laughing hard too, but it's ok cause it's only around 6pm over here :) (BTW why are you guys not in bed!?!? It's late there!!)

And you are very nice, supporting me with this Hungarian thing!!! (we really got too meet up for a drink or something if I go over in Dec.)

I'm so impressed by your Hungarian misdeavious!!! You just misspelled one letter it's "hogy vagy?" meaning "how are you" and yeah it sounds like that funny song LW, but the pronanciation in Hungarian is totally differnt in this case, cause we have this letter as such "gy" which makes a different sound then "g" and "y" alone... ok I better stop it lol

I got to run now, but I promise I'll write an other one soon!!! :)

Thee put thy left hand in, thou puts thy left hand out
Thee puts thy left hand in, and thou shakest it about
Thou dost the hokey-pokey and thee turnest round
'Tis what it is about...eth...

Thee put thy... *LW sings off into the distance*

YUP! :)

ok. since I've noticed you guys were pulling each other's leg all night long, now here's an other Hungarian song, hope it will make you calm down :p

This one is a slow song, very BEAUTIFUL and annointed!

Mint szarvas hűs folyóvízhez (As the deer walks to the water)
Úgy vágyik lelkem Istenhez (that is the way my soul longs for God)
Ő megszabadít, s elveszi minden terhem (He sets me free, he takes all my burdens)

Kegyelme újra átkarol (His mercy surrenders me again)
Lelkemről minden lánc lehull (all the chains fall off my soul)
Megvígasztal, s az, ami fájt, emlék csupán (He solaces me, and all hurts will fade away)

Csak Ő és én, nem kell más,utána vágyom (Only HIM and me, I don't need anything, I just long for HIM)
Jelenlétében csodálom szépségét (In His presence I wonder his beauty)

Soha nem leszek többé az, aki voltam rég (I'll never be the same, that I used to be)
Mert Ő rámtalált és megfordult a világ (Because he had found me and the world turned around)
Szívem Érte ég és bármit megtennék (My heart only burns for Him, and I'd do anything)
Hogy házában maradjak (to stay in his house)

I wish to send the melody toooooooo!!
