  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Keeping up Appearances and Absolutely Fabulous.
I loved One Foot in the Grave, unfortunately BBS America doesn't show it anymore.

What ever happened to that quirky comedy, "The Royle Family"? It was strange but oddly irresistable. :)
Hi Annabel
I am a fan of the Royle Family , I think it is hillarious , but I understand it on different levels. It kinda reminds me of my step father and My Nan , they didn't see eye to eye! :D

I also love Blackadder (it's the best) and Red Dwarf.

i love the Royle Family. i dont understand people who dont understand why its so funny! its inexplicable why its is so funny - it just is. if you try and explain it to someone they think you were crazy finding it funny (a family sitting on sofas watching TV for the whole episode - crunching polos), but then they'd watch it and see why.

for quirky comedy how about "Marion and Geoff". its got episodes that are 10 minutes long and features Keith Barrett (Rob Brydon) sitting in his taxi talking to the camera about his divorce from Marion. not the usual comedy setting but its brilliant!

LITTLE BRITAIN!!!!

"Yeah I know" A class sayin by a class character, i.e Andy Pipkin

Big up LITTLE BRITAIN!! Naturally BIG UP Wales too!!!

Only fools and horses is also good. At least, it was good once upon a time ago.
Fawlty Towers is just timeless! Its small underlying theme of European integeration exemplified by the character of Manuel the waiter is proof of this! And the issue of European integeration is all the more relevant today!

The Good Life was awesome, I like little Britain and Black Books. Theres one particular actress who cracks me up, she was on smack the pony, i cant remember her name though!! Yeah Rowan Atkinson is sooooooooo funny, everything he's in amuses me! I think he's a Christian too?!

Atkinson is an Oxford graduate actually. He's a perfect example of the essential link between Britain and India as well by the way! He looks so Indian yet he's British at the end of the day!!
Monty Python's Michael Palin is also an Oxford graduate! He's currently trekking in the Himalayas and shooting a new travel documentary!! (PLUG!!) ;)

He could be an Oxford graduate AND a Christian!!

Indeed. You dont have to be a Christian to be an Oxford student but it certainly helps since there's plenty of Christian tradition in Oxford.

Interesting responses.

You know that most UK comedy fans absolutely loathe "Keeping up Appearences"? It's down on the list of "not funny boring middle class predictable ****" along with Terry and June :D
Snobs! ;)

I'm madly in love with bone-idle Onslow.
