Lord i want to be Holy
Lord, I want to be Holy,
set apart for you,
Lord, I want to be Holy,
a vessel tried and true.

When I come into your throne room,
I receive the strength that I need to make my life
a living sacrafice for you...

Hmm...not sure this is what you were looking for, but one of my favorites is I am by Ginny Owens.
There's a bigger picture you can't see.
You don't have to change the world, just trust in me.
'Cause I am your creator, I am working out my plan,
And through you I will show them, I Am.

I tend to be a control freak so that speaks volumes to me.

Mine is:

And when my body lies in the ruins
Of the lies that nearly ruined me
Will You pick up the pieces
That were pure and true
And breathe Your life into them
And set them free?

And when You start this world over
Again from scratch
Will You make me anew
Out of the stuff that lasts
Stuff that's purer than gold is
And clearer than glass could ever be
Can I be with You?
Can I be with You?

It always reminds me of what I am living for--to be with Him!

I'm a shout "in the morning" type.

Some bright morning when this life is o'er,
I'll fly away;
To that home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

Chorus:
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

When the shadows of this life have gone,
I'll fly away;
Like a bird from these prison walls I’ll fly,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

Chorus:
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

Oh how glad and happy when we meet
I’ll fly away
No more cold iron shackles on my feet
I’ll fly away.

I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

Chorus:
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away.

Just a few more weary days and then,
I'll fly away;
To a land where joys will never end,
I'll fly away.

Chorus:
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,

I love the old hymns. One of my favourites lately is "How Great Thou Art"

Oh Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy pow'r throughout the universe displayed,

Refrain:
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee;
How great thou art, how great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee;
How great thou art, how great thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze;

Refrain

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin;

Refrain

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, My God, How great thou art!

Refrain

There are also some more contemporary songs that I like. You are Holy is one of my favourite songs to sing in a group, cuz it's got a guys and girls part (or any 2 groups)
(note: guys and girls parts are sung at the same time, except the echo parts, obviously!)

Guys start, girls echo:
You are holy (echo)
You are mighty (echo)
You are worthy (echo)
Worthy of praise (echo)
I will follow (echo)
I will listen (echo)
I will love you (echo)
All of my days (echo)

Guys part:
I will sing to and worship
The King who is worthy
I will love and adore Him
I will bow down before Him
I will sing to and worship
The King who is worthy
I will love and adore Him
I will bow down before Him

Girls part:
You are Lord of Lords
You are King of Kings
You are Mighty God
Lord of everything
You are Alpha, Omega
Beginning and end
You're my Saviour, Messiah
Redeemer and Friend

Together:
You're my prince of peace and I will live my life for you.

My favorite on is the one sang at my grandma`s funneral when i felt the farest away from god. I still cry everytime i hear it or sing it but. It helps me keep going.
Precious Lord, take my hand

Precious Lord, take my hand,
Lead me on, let me stand,
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;
Through the storm, through the night,
Lead me on to the light:
Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

When my way grows drear,
Precious Lord, linger near,
When my life is almost gone,
Hear my cry, hear my call,
Hold my hand lest I fall:
Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

When the darkness appears
And the night draws near,
And the day is past and gone,
At the river I stand,
Guide my feet, hold my hand:
Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

I take great joy in seeing so many of these older hymns being listed. They are all so wonderful. My personal favorite, or at least one of them, is:

"Are You Washed In The Blood" I think this particular hymn contains all that is really important to any Christian, while praising Jesus for His shed blood in the process.

I heard this song once on The Gaithers, done by the Crabb family.
It made me cry thinking of Jesus's humanity, though He was God, He still can relate to us because He was truly human, this song really brings out His, and those who were there, deep feelings at the cross.

Trail of Tears

Think about the lonley day that Jesus had to die
It must have broke his mother's heart oh the tears she must have cried
And though she knew the plan without, he was still her precious babe
It only seemed like yesterday in a stable he was born.

There must of been a trail of tears from the cross to the grave
Where they lay Him down to rest, in a cold and lonley grave
And the stone rolled to the door, sealed the Prince of life within
He must have felt His life begin (((I don't know if this is the right words here- got the lyrics from someones web site)))
There must have been a trail of tears

Never knew the day would come you'd have to say goodbye
Son was going to miss her so, Though he would give his life
The angels moved in sympathy and carried out the plan
He was dying up there on Calvary with sadness in His hands

There must of been a trail of tears from the cross to the grave
Where they lay Him down to rest, in a cold and lonley grave
And the stone rolled to the door, sealed the prince of life within
He must have felt His life begin (((I don't know if this is the right words here)))
There must have been a trail of tears

"You are Holy" is a song that pops into my head when I'm worshipping by myself too! Excellent lyrics.

I also like to sing "In Christ Alone"

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comfortor, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness lsain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can even pluck me from His hand
Till he returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
