Favorite Verses

Over the last couple of days I've come across some verses that have become instant favorites of mine. I think it is always interesting to see what verses also stand out to my fellow believers. So what verses do you guys particularly like, and why?

Earlier today I was reading a book on the sanctuary and the author quoted Mark 9:49. "For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt." I love this verse, because of all the meaning packed into the phrase "salted with fire." Fire purifies us. Salt preserves us. When God justifies us from our sins, he also preserves us and keeps us in Him. Justification and sanctification together. "Salted with fire."

My favorite is John 14:21.

John 14:21 The one who obeys me is the one who loves me; and because he loves me, my Father will love him; and I will too, and I will reveal myself to him.''

Many people miss out on that close personal relationship with God through His Son and don't really get to know Him because they don't obey Him. It's when we begin to surrender our lives to His word that He is free to reveal Himself to us. No church or denomination can do this for us it has to be each individual person. Remember, God tell us not to cast our pearls before swine and neither will He.
