CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I could make a list that would take literally hours to read as far as metal goes so I'll limit myself to 10. Opeth, Agalloch, Heimdall, Draconian, Death, Kalisia, Emperor, Evensong, Anathema, and Cold Mourning. On that note most of what Links listed is good industrial, I'd suggest you also check out Three Hole Face, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, and Daisy Chainsaw if you're into that kind of thing.

Just kidding. My local rock station had a battle of the bands call in show for best heavy metal song--basically a publicity stunt where they played two songs a night and had people call in to vote for the best, every night at 10 pm. So this thing drags out for a month and the song that they picked, supposedly based on caller votes, was "Take Me Higher." I think the other finalist was something by Metallica. The Memory Remains or something like that.
My famous quote from that night: "Creed? No way! They're not even metal!"

Rammstein seriously rock!!! I love them!!! And I love metallica (earlier stuff. St Anger was awful), Machine head, KMFDM, NOFX, Ozzy, iced earth, tool, Led Zepplin...

I listen to such a variety of music (including metal, albeit to a lesser degree) I'm having a hard time remembering specific bands (ones that haven't already been mentioned, anyway).
I do have a soft spot for glam metal, though. Throw it at me and I'll listen and enjoy it, even the outrageous CDs (I'm currently listening to a track off of Mötley Crüe's Generation Swine album right now...case in point).
