Kelly told Noah NOT to kick the ball into the street, but that's exactly where he kicked it. Kelly ran after it, hopped over the curb and darted out into the street. Jakcie, Kelly's dog, stood by the curb whining. He knew the danger she was in. But she never made it to the ball, which had rolled to the opposite curb. She was nearly killed by a speeding car that zoomed out of nowhere, brushing by her so fast that it nearly pulled her down. Kelly ran up to her front porch and refused to budge. She didn't want to play kickball anymore.
