Favorite Mystery Authors/Books?

Hey everyone!

I like to read mysteries now and then. My two favorites are the Kinsey Milhone Alphabet series by Sue Grafton and the Anna Pigeon series by Nevada Barr. What're your favorites?

My favourites are Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch-series and Peter Robinson's Inspector Banks-series


I also used to loke Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta-series, but I don't like it as much since they introduced this hairy guy from France

Dorothy L. Sayer's Lord Peter Wimsey novels, Agatha Christie, Elizabeth Peters (the Amelia Peabody Mysteries), Laura Child's Tea Shop Mysteries, used to like James Patterson's Alex Cross books, but then they started getting hugely sexually deviant, so, eww...not anymore...

My mom is a huge Agatha Christie fan, so I grew up reading her books (when I outgrew Nancy Drew) and they are fabulous. I like Carol Higgins Clark, who's Mary Higgins Clark's daughter. Her mysteries are lighter and more comedic than her mom's, which suits me because I don't like things too spooky or gory. Also I like the Desiree Shapiro mysteries (I can't remember who the author is). They're on the lighter side too.
