Hmm...is there a MMORPG I haven't tried?? Don't think so. I've played Everquest for 4 years now, Dark Age of Camelot for two and Anarchy Online for two. I've also played Planetside, Darkspace, EVE Online, Endless Ages and many more.

The only account I have active now is Everquest and loving every minute of it. Even after 4 years.

I used to play MUD's. Avalon:First Age was my favorite. I used to play EQ at my friend's house a lot, I was a wee bit of a mooch but he didn't care .
And yeah, Galaxies really does look awesome!

I can't even play those things. Back home (in the middle of no where) I couldn't get broadband. Now that I have broadband at school, our firewall blocks me from playing any online games. So sad.. so very sad. Actually it's probably good for me, because I'd probably never leave the dorm!

Lookin forward to WOW, I think it'll blow Galaxies out of the water (well the star wars name recognition will always keep it afloat I guess). WOW, World Of Warcraft, Blizzards stab at MMORPGs, comming soon (ie -who knows when).

that you have to download a software in order to play?

you buy the software or download it. but then you run the software and it connects to the site. or you connect to the site through an internet window

Played EQ for many years. Had to quit...high end game was too stressful for my cleric. I couldn't really play casually.

Playing a chef in SWG now and love it!

hey, i played that this month. my subscription ends in a few days though. :-( i don't think i could play that game forever though.

I'd say at this point, EverQuest is my favorite with Star Wars Galaxies being a very close second with the potential to become my favorite. (SWG is amazingly fun even for a "just released" MMORPG. If it's this good now, where will it be in 2 years? I can't even imagine.)

I've played Dark Age of Camelot and Anarchy Online as well, but none of them have captured my interest quite like EverQuest has. I've been playing EQ off and on for over 4 years now.

I will be playing Worlds of Warcraft when it releases as well. That one will probably outdo any of the others.

I personally don't get on well with MMORPGs as I don't quite have the time or drive to get properly involved with one... I used to do Runescape and Ragnarok a while back, but never really enjoyed either after a while.
