• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hmm… you guys got many of the ones I’d post, such as ccel, Answers in Genesis, CARM, biblegateway, but I have a few more significant ones to add, at least as have been helpful to me.

http://www.crossroad.to/ Fantastic resource ministry, by a husband and wife team that also do speaking engagements. Need info on the Occult, Emergent theology, UN, EU, Oprah, Harry Potter etc.. good place to start.

http://www.khouse.org/ Resource galore! From articles to audio sermons, it’s Chuck Missler’s ministry site. Make sure you sign up for the weekly eNews letter.

http://www.crosswire.org/ Free bible study software. I use the Sword Project daily, 100’s of free add-on modules available, Pilgrims Progress module being my favorite.

http://hallindsey.org/ Hal Lindsey Report. Yes quite politically incorrect. Lots of archives for us incorrect thinkers. He puts the “mental” into Fundamentalist :D

http://www.stempublishing.com/authors/darby/ The writings of John Nelson Darby. The Roots of Fundamentalism - Ernest R. Sandeen, observes: “much of the thought and attitudes of those who are known as Fundamentalists can be mirrored in the teachings of this man.”

Five of my Fundamentally needed links ^_^

I can't post links, so I'll format these so they aren't links in order that others can enjoy them. I dropped the www and put a space between the domain and the tld.

I would like to recommend www.shorewoodbiblechurch.org. There are excellent sermons and lectures you can download here.

Thanks! Here's a few more that I'd like to share:

TheWord Bible Study Software - Free Bible Study Software. Multiple Bible Versions (King James, Darby, Greek, King James, Darby, etc), multiple commentaries, multiple dictionaries, Bible Maps, personal notes, easy navigation. TheWord is one of my favorite Bible Study tools. There is a massive public domain and free library of materials to use with it.

e-Sword Home - Free Bible study software for Windows. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly. Prepare great sermons and awesome Bible studies. Great for Sunday school teachers! e-Sword is my most often used Bible Study program that includes a massive public domain and free number of resources: Bible Translations, Topical Studies, Commentaries, Dictionaries, ancient language studies, and much more in an easy to use and friendly interface.

The Old Time Gospel Ministry - A Ministry dedicated to preserving the truth and accuracy of the infallible Word of God. This site contains a massive number of excellent resources.

If you click on the link entitled "Listen to Bible Preaching" there is a lecture entitled What the Cross Meant to Christ. It is about an hour long. It is a look at the horrible agony of the death on the cross that the Lord Jesus Christ endured for us for our salvation. All praise be to Him!
