  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

his girl friday sucked, dont' really understand the appeal of that movie. My favorite comedies tend to change alot but right now they're anchorman and wedding crashers.

I liked Wedding Crashers, but I was disappointed by Anchorman, not as funny as I thought it would be.

If you're talking about the original Cary Grant/Ros Russel starer you need to understand that comedy has changed over the years. I spent much of my life as a theatre owner/operator and have noticed things I found funny in the 40s and 50s I no longer find particularly funny. However, I don't find toilet humor funny either.

One of the funniest films I've seen in years was Jim Carrey's "Liar, Liar".

Just saw this last week. It howls...excuse the pun. Diane Lane is a divorcee who everyone is trying to fix up with a date. Her sister puts an ad on the internet and that leads to some interesting situations. There are some really funny lines in this one.

I love The Philadelphia Story, Arsenic & Old Lace, Some Like It Hot, It Happened One Night, The More the Merrier, and many, many more....if I think of them I'll post them, because they aren't coming to mind at the moment.

I absolutely love Cary Grant, however, I've seen His Girl Friday only once all the way through and that's all I need. I'm a classic film fanatic but I can't take that movie. I know the script and dialogue is supposed to be the way it is, it's just...a little too much for me. Lol. :D I ain't saying it's a bad movie, lol, it's not. Don't get me wrong, I laughed quite a bit when I watched for the first time, but that was it. A one-time viewing of it was enough for me. A good movie, just not one of my favorites. :)

One of my favorite comedies with Cary Grant was Houseboat in which the leading lady was Sophie Loren.
