  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir is back with it's latest offering, "I'll Say Yes". TBT is still doing what it does best. That is giving us messages from the heart that inspire us to press on and not to grow weary of doing good. Put God first and then everything else will fall into line. The TBT choir does not "perform" but rather, it ministers to those who need to be encouraged during these days of trials and tribulations. On this album you will find sweet ballads and soul stirring anthems to lift your spirit. I never lost my praise is the track that comes to mind. It speaks of giving God the praise even in the dark times because He always comes through for you. It encourages you to not let the world steal your joy and rob you of the praises that you should offer up daily. I believe you will be truly blessed by this album and I encourage you to purchase additional copies for those who would benefit from a spiritual lift. Enjoy!

I guess when it comes to directors - my favorite of all time was Von Karajan...

As far as composers - my favorites were Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, and Mahler. I also loved some of the Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner too.

As far as performers, my favorites are Andre Watts - piano, Dennis Brain - french horn, and Marsailles (sp) trumpet... I also love to hear older recordings of long gone artists such as Shwartskopf, Rubinstein, Dennis Brain, Donald Filzen, and many more.

There are so many to choose from... I could go on and on - but these are a very few.
