"The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory:" -1 Sam. 2:6-8 (KJV)

At the lowest point in my life, God led me to these verses. And it made me realize why I was in the situation I was.

I have been brought down to the dunghill?

Have you?

God Bless

Till all are one.

Post your favorite verse, and why you like it:

Hey Andy, I have to admit my verse changes and changes often. Right now the verse kicking around my heart and soul is from the Wisdom of Sirach 40.27 also know as Ecclesiasticus in the KJV. It's not technically scripture to us Protestants, actually deuterocanonical, but I have found it be helpful.

"The fear of the Lord is like a paradise of blessing,
And covers a man better than any glory."

I guess I like it because it encourages me to fear God and keep that fear before me knowing that godly fear is a blessing.

Yours in the Lord,

jm

So this is not part of the canon?
