  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Radiant Silvergun is probably tops for me. I doubt anyone here has played it though, since it was only in Japanese arcades and the only way to play it in America is by importing the Saturn port. Definitely the best vertical shooter ever released.

If I must pick something American, then I'd probably choose Ms. Pac-Man. I have fond memories of playing that through my childhood.

Who says we all live in America and can't play in Japanese game centres??? Radiant Silvergun, Tekken, Virtua Figher and a ton of music games on one floor, and pachinko on the other three floor!!! Yatta! ;)

I like the drum beat games, whatever the heck they're called. Both Konomi and Namco have cool ones. You can drum along with game soundtracks from things like Super Mario Bros., Life Force/Salamander, and the Dragon Ball cartoon! I sometimes go to one of the game centres in Ikebukuro, because there's a good giant takoyaki(octopus dumplings) shop there where I can get kimchi takoyaki. It's so bad. Kind of like the power glove, but more badder.

Star Wars Trilogy arcade game is my favorite. The lightsaber battle with Vader is what made it really cool.

I play through that game everytime I'm at the arcade. Love it.

Hard to decide, though. Most of my favs were always the classic button mashing side scrollers. The old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games, the Simpsons game, and later on the huge six-player Marvel game were my favorites.

Then Street Fighter II came along...
And Mortal Kombat II...
And Killer Instinct...

Yeah, I can't decide. :p

Xmen was an awesome game. No lack of potential players and nothing more fun then hitting an enemy while he was down until he died.
