Fave Animated Intro?

Hi all...
Being a 3D animator myself (average but getting better) I LOVE watching good intro's to games.

So I wondered, what is everyones favorite intro to a game? You may HATE the game, but the music and action in the intro is sometimes something that just makes the hairs on your back stand up as you think "coooooool" and you simply HAVE to play the game.

Some of mine would be:

Insane (4x4 Driving game)
Tekken Tag Tournament
Return to Castle Wolfentien

Planescape: Torment (And completely relevent to the game no less)
Soul Calibur II
Oni had an awesome intro, and in it appear characters not in the game and the artistic style was a tad different. I loved it.

Final Fantasy 8 had an awesome intro, absolutely stunning music to go along with it too.

Silent Hill's is awesome as well.

My favorite though, would be Resident Evil 3. That one was a jaw dropper, and showed the kind of carnage that was happening in the city.

i liked ffx2's intro the video rite @ the beginning was kewl though the msic could use some work...and it got into battle mode rite awy which is wat liked

Soul Blade for PSOne. Even with all the technological improvements since, I have yet to see a better intro.

Well One of my favs is the intro to warcraft 3 and i will say the final fantasys

It's not the intro, but the Starcraft cutscenes are awesome! Especially the one when the marines get ambushed on the space station!

Definitely Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy X-2. So far.

My favorite is from Lunar:The Silver Star on Sega CD. It's lame by today's standards, but when I first saw it in 1993 I was blown away.

I quite enjoyed the intro on Wild Arms as well.

My favorite recent intro from a game is Dynasty Warriors 4. I gets me pumped to go slaughter an army.

The broodwar intro was good. I liked it when it panned to the battlecrusier overhead.

Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance.

AWESOME intro. The best I've ever seen.

The worst would have to be Descent 3.

Gran Turismo 3 has a cool intro. The trailor for Star Wars: Republic Commando is amazing. The models in the video are the same models being used in the actual game.

CHR15T05, where do you work and what kind of animations do you do? I'm just curious. I'm a senior at Purdue, majoring in computer animation.

Need For Speed High Stakes intro is funny...at least to me...but not that good.

It doesn't look like it's too expensive on E-bay. I bought mine for $30 CND at a store closing sale back in '94 or '95. That's a decade ago.
