The scriputures declare there is one God:
1Cor. 8:
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge:
The scriptures also declare Jesus to be God:
John 1:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
But notice what is written in Hebrews 1:
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Does Jesus have a God? Note the following:
Ephesians 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Ephesians 1: 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
1Peter 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Revelation 3: 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. (All of this from Jesus Himself)
I once worked for a company owned and operated by a father and son. When they came into the work area I treated them both the same. Both were my boss. Often I would see the father tell the son to "go check that ticket" or "bring me that job order", etc... but never did I witness the son do the same to his father. In their realm the father was over the son and there was only one boss. In my realm they were to be honored the same. By honoring the son I was honoring the father.
There is a huge reason why this should be understood by all. Maybe I will be able to cover that in my next post. I pray you would search your heart for Truth. We believe with the heart unto righteousness...not the intellect.
