Fasting and praying.....am I getting attacked

On the occasions, where I have been fasting and praying for someone that I love - salvation, I seem to wonder if I am getting attacked.

On the first night of my fasting, I had an incredible, frightening dream
that I was giving birth to snakes. I have never given birth, so it was a very
alarming and frightening dream and quite vivid. I woke up feeling extreme terror.

I prayed that I wouldn't suffer any more dreams like that.
The following night the dream was somewhat confusing and upsetting but not so frightening.

A lady I know from FB sent me two messages where she was attacking me and trying to make me feel guilty. She has no idea I am fasting and praying. Infact, she is into witchcraft. She is a lady I have helped in my community. Her attacks via FB messenger were quite random.

And then today/tonight I have felt incredibly anxious and panicky and my health seems to be affected.

Am I being attacked by the enemy for fasting/praying.

As a Christian you should not be having any interactions with occultists full stop and why would you .This can indeed lead to attacks from demons if connected to it.

You do know that these people can and do open up things for evil spirits to enter their lives.

Yes these are attacks. Be careful who you fellowship with. You cannot be a friend of God and friend of Satan at the same time.

Witchcraft is demon worship.

If you help her come to Christ, good. But if you help her in other ways you are giving what is holy to dogs, and casting pearls before swine.

If you are fasting for her, this dream is her, not you. She gives birth to snakes. She is the one who should pray to Yahweh and fast for herself. You cannot save others if they do not want to be saved.

My advice is distance yourself from her and others like her. If they are interested in the Gospel, great. If not, get on with your life and don't be dragged into their problems. They are on the road to Hell. You can't help someone if they attack you and place curses on you when you try and help them.

Witches put curses on people. These curses are demonic attack. Be strong in spirit and stay close to Yahweh and these attacks will not hurt you. Demons can only do what Yahweh allows them to do.

No, she is not the person I have been praying for.

A little bit about my link to her.
She is a local person who feeds the stray cats and gets them de-sexed so the population of cats doesn't increase. I met her some years ago, on my walk to the shop. She had a fall and i helped her out by feeding another cat - that she doens't feed anymore. I am trying to get the cat off the streets and fostered.

She randomly sends messages to keep me up to-date with what is happening.

The fasting had nothing to do with her. She just happened to message me quite randomly about me not doing enough for the rescue of cats.
I ignored her messages but gave her a 'thumbs up" I didn't want to ge tinto any debates.

I found it interesting how she sent me message while i was on my fast.

The dream came the first night of the fast. Her message was the next night.

I don't have any friendship with her. I did encourage her to go to church and she did some years ago. I don't talk or get into any discussions with her, only if it is to do with the cats.

But, I do think you are right and that I need to severe contact with her.

It sounds like you should put that woman on "ignore," and put the bad dream out of your mind. It was not a vision, but just a recombination of some ideas--or worries--that that had crossed your mind during waking hours.

When we deprive our body of essential nutrients I imagine it is possible for the brain to react negatively. That being said, if you continue to associate darkness with your righteous act of praying and fasting then it has become ineffective. So put it away.
"For greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world".

For fasting and prayer . . . I find that times of prayer can be good for being quiet so we can be with God. And see what comes to try to mess with this. And get sensitive and strong so wrong things can't get the better of us; then stay this way after we are done praying or fasting. Stay prayerful, all the time, then, but using quiet time of prayer and fasting to help us set our standard for how we will be and live . . . and love . . . all the time

You might stop your fast, after some time, and eat again. But during the fast you can stop feeding on fear and doubt and trying to control people, and arguing and complaining, and boredom and loneliness and unforgiveness and lusts. But once you get back to food, do not go back to feeding on wrong spiritual and emotional things. And discover how you can enjoy God and love, instead!

Beloved one, there is nothing wrong with you on the occasions, where you have been fasting and praying for someone that you love - salvation.

For we heard our Lord said:

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.”

Beloved one, consider that before, during, and after fast, be constantly filled with the righteousness of God that comes through faith in Christ Jesus, that you may not hunger or thirst,that you may have the strength to resist the enemy.

Also, we heard:
“It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the CONSCIENCE— concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.”

Under the old order, symbolically, concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, that were fleshly ordinances.

But under the new order, or reformation, we should concern ourselves with regard to conscience with foods, drinks, and washings, that are spiritual.

So fasting is concerned with CONSCIENCE.

conscience is defined as an aspect of self-awareness that produces the pain and/or pleasure we "feel" as we reflect on the norms and values we recognize and apply.

Do our norms and values conform to God’s norms and values ? Do our conscience always good ?

This is what we have heard:

To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences (hearts) are defiled. -Titus 1:15

So we can consider there are those whose consciences are defiled because their minds and hearts do not conform to the norms and values that are from God. And there are those who whose consciences are pure because their minds and hearts conform to the norms and values that are from God.

So what to do with the nightmares that we may have while we slept ?

Beloved one, our hearts and minds must perceive and understand the enemy’s intention to defile our consciences (hearts). So we resist the enemy in the power of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our consciences should abide in the truth.

For we heard:
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.””
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved one, we should abide in the truth of the Lord’s word or the truth of His love, knowing His truth, and His truth shall set us free. Yes, we can be free from the thoughts of the enemy, that try to plant DEFILEMENT in our minds.

Let our consciences stand in His truth, that loose us form bonds of wickedness or guilt,
to undo the heavy burdens,
To let us free from oppression of the enemy
And that we break every yoke of slavery.

By hearts or consciences abiding in the truth of His love, we stand free from the power of the enemy.

We are the Lord’s people. We should come out of Babylon or confusion, that we may not share her sins. Beloved one, let us perceive spiritually, that we may understand.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved one, let us stand strong in the strength of our Lord. For we can withstand against the wiles of the devil because we stand in union with Christ, for God is with us.

Beloved one, there is no need to be anxious and panicky. Let us cast our care on the Lord, for He cares for us. Let us be assured in the truth of His love. For we heard:

Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD. -Psalms 32:10

Let us trust our Lord, that His steadfast love shall surround us.

For we also heard:
"Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. -Psalms 91:14

So let us hold fast to the Lord in love,
He will deliver us; He will protect us, because we know His name, Jesus Christ the Son of God.

About those who may attack, you can stand in this truth in Psalms 25:19-22, and pray:

Lord Jesus,
Consider my enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred.
Keep my soul, and deliver me;
Let me not be ashamed,
for I put my trust in You.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.
Redeem me, O God, Out of all my troubles!
Amen
