  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I looked around online for information on fasting and what concepts people had concerning it, but couldn't find anything about the use of nutritional supplements. I found stuff on absolute (no food or liquids)fasting, water fasting, and juice fasting, but nothing said anything about the intake of vitamin supplements or protein supplements. I was wondering what opinions other people had on fasting, but taking some supplements.

It is also for people who want to learn about fasting as it's Biblical based and you fast almost half the time with half-fasts, water fasts and 1 meal a day fasts. Good for anyone who wants to learn about true fasting, or has food issues

If someone wants to take vitamins that is entirely up to them, the purpose of a fast is for reliance on God and His strength, when our strength is not up properly like with proper food, also fasts will turn you to rely on God for the power to fast and bring one closer to God.
