Here and there I kind of follow the trends...but really, not very much. I have my own style and definitely prefer it over today's trends.

I don't follow fashion, really. My housemate does, so I get some note of trends from that. Personally, I would rather just do what I think looks good and not worry about what other people are supposedly doing with fashion.

Sometimes it lines up with trends, I guess. Which is kinda interesting, really, when people say "hey, where did you get that? I like it." The answer is inevitably Good Will or some such. As if I paid a bunch of money just to fit a trend. lol

I have always just bought what felt comfortable and I thought complimented my body without much regard to whether or not it was in style.

But now that I do work in a fashion department and I see clothes every day, I am much more aware of what is actually popular. I'm not sure how much that affects my style though... I might see a dress that I *love* one week, but then see too many people buying the same dress and it puts me off it. I'd rather be more unique.

I think I have my own style. Though I'm aware of trends, having gone through fashion design school, I don't always agree with the current ones, actually quite often I don't. lol

I wear what is comfortable. I like to dress up occasionally, and look trendy when I get in a certain mood, but usually it's jeans and a hoodie or something just as comfortable.

I'm going shopping next weekend. I've lost a lot of weight over the last few months and desperately need summer clothes that actually fit me for my trip. I'm rather excited. I haven't been clothes shopping in a long time. silly budgeting.
