Hey guys, I just recently got FarCry (far better than XIII ) and was wondering if any of you guys have it, and play it on-line. I'm just looking for fellow players that also enjoy good games, free of the foul language, etc. So let me know via PM, etc if any of you guys play it and what servers you're usually on.

My only gripe is that its too easy to die, not because it's massively difficult, but because you spend too much time walking around looking at the gorgeous scenery.

I agree on the scenery. Just wish my system could handle the max settings on it.

guessing you never heard of gamespot or IGN or gamespy either... yea, go to www.gamerankings.com and type the game in the search. I dont think it has a rating under 9.0

The game is very good, but you need to have a good system to run it. I have a 256, 9600 Radeon on an AMD XP 2600 with 512 SDRAM and I have to have the settings of "Medium" for smooth gameplay.

But yeah, you can snipe from 1.2km and the game lacks the "fog of war" found in a lot of FPS titles. IMO, it is well worth $40.00 (US) and I highly recommend it for any FPS fan.

Sweet! It's out? I've played both demos and loved it, I've been meaning to look into multiplayer though, is it any good? Do they have any special game modes besides DM, TDM, and such like that? Can you use vehicles in multiplayer too?

They have your standard styles of multiplay, DM, TDM, Assault, etc. But it still fun none-the-less, especially as you can easily kill some one with the pistol in a few shots. As for vehicles, there are patrol boats and Zodiacs along with four-wheeled vehicles. If you have the cash, the system to run it and it is out in your area, definitely get it.

I've played it a bit

There was one bit that reminded of Half Life, where you open a door and see someone getting dragged up into the ceiling.

What I don't like about it is the mutant creatures you fight, I felt it ruined what I fought was gonna be a normal shooter, I think I would have enjoyed it more if you just fought against people like in the demos, also the mutants are far toooo hard.

Anyway I'm looking forward to the StarGate mod for it.

5 CD's of pure FPS pleasure. I haven't played a game this great since Half-Life. Wow.

Runs like butter on my 2 day old Alienware 3.2Ghz 2Gig RAM GeForce FX 5950 256MB. This game has to be the FPS of the year. I'm serious, as much as I loved Doom, Doom 3 may have a contender on its hands. This game, the vehicles and weapons, the graphics, the stealth, the foliage....bah, I could go on and on and on. Its a dream. Seriously.
