  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am so grateful for what God has done for me. Through the years, my faith has been up and down. In bad times and good, the Lord always pulls me through. I want to praise him for what he has done . The other day my mom and dad and I were on our way to the store. Turning from the end of our street onto a main road is sometimes difficulut because there are big trash cans, signs, and a hill to the left. My dad was driving and as he sat and waited for traffic in both directions to pass, I guess something slipped his mind and he didnt see that big van behind the truck he waited on. to ur right.. He began to edge up on the road and my mom and I assumed that he was just in a hurry. Wrong. My dad started pulling out into the road just as the tan van came to us. I guess he just didnt see it but, we did. Scared to death, my mom grabbed his arm and screamed. "Stop! What are you doing?" We sat there in the left lane of the road as the van went by. Only seconds away to disaster. I know that if my dad had gone alone that things wouldnt be the same. God had a plan for us. He protected my family, just like I've asked him to all these years.
Another paryer I've asked for years is for my family to get into church. My grandparents on my dad's side were religious people. I was the only one in my family who was in church. Now, 2 of my aunts and uncles come and so do one of their parents and they bring their children. Occasionally my cousin comes too and brings my neices. I am so happy for what God has done in my life and Im telling you to never give up because prayer WORKS! GBUA

 Isn't God's protection and provision awesome?! Thanks for sharing your story with us Shootin_Starz. It is always good to hear how the Lord works in the world around us. How may near misses do we have that we stop to thank the Lord for?
