  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I think that it looks different for every family. Family choices will dictate some of it: educational choices, activity choices, as well as others. For instance, some families go to a church where the entire family goes to the same SS class. Some homeschool. Some opt for mainly family activities. Other families choose other options.

I am only partially AP, so maybe I'm not the best person to respond here. I hope you get some better answers. :)

Connected parenting in our household includes very open communication. The more bonded I've been to each child, the stronger the relationship as they've grown. They're more comfortable talking to DH & I about anything, and often take our advice to heart. At the same time, I see mutual respect happening. It's very nice. :)

It proves to me that teens don't Have be rebellious and nasty.

Hmmm, maybe I'm not the person to ask either.

But with our ds (7) it's basically lots and lots of talks, some time together most days, even though he has a really advanced reading ability he still likes me to read to him (which I think is really sweet) and we just talk about what each person did that day.
