  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi all, so my prayer is for my family. My sister has been using drugs her whole life in and out of prison. She has 5 kids and list them all. I just found out she had a 6th and plans to keep it. My reaction was quite harsh to say the least. The blindness they live in is just astonishing. I used to do drugs with her but the Lord saved me. I honestly just want to end contact. I know that's not right but I have no idea what to do. I can't support her decisions.

Prayer for wisdom on how to deal with this. Thanks.

Light and darkness have no fellowship with each other.

Even A GOOD FAMILY, JESUS SAYS you must leave them to follow Him if you want to be His Disciple.....

Then always do as the Father in Heaven Says, in line with His Word (Scripture).

I'm inclined to agree with Yeshuaslavejeff even though I'm reluctant to be so cold. The problem is, you can't really change someone if they aren't ready or willing to change - they have to reach that point of their own volition.

I'm sure you've tried very hard to help your sister and I applaud you but it sounds to me like you could do with a respite. Better to let her come to you if and when she shows a genuine desire to reform. God bless you my friend!

I'm so sorry for the dilemma. Afters years of problems I convinced my husband that we had to move away from my family. I think we made the right choice even though I didn't wish them any harm or sadness.

Dear friend, Praying for God to open her eyes is the correct way to do things. She is not mentally stable just as no addict is and therefore she cannot honestly make a correct decision about her life because she is being led by the drug. She is blinded to the truth at this moment.
I know this all to well as I have some in my family that do drugs and they cannot stand me because I am against their lifestyle choices and will not give them money for their habits.
Look up Phamikia, Medications and Sorcery online and you will see a connection there and that should explain why they are so against the saved.

Father, Mark 12:30,31 comes to mind in response to this prayer request. Your written Word is full of answers for our questions and problems in life. May this one come to regularly read and study Your Word, interact with Your Spirit while doing so, learn to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16 & Galatians 5:25), and grow in Christ (2 Peter 3:18). May they then be powerfully used as a tool for You to bring deliverance from the things that bind her sister and her family. Amen.

Heavenly Father, lead this sister to help. Change her heart that she will want to give up her drugs. May resources to help be waiting for her, so she can be successful in overcoming her drug addiction, In Jesus Name, "With God nothing shall be impossible" luke 1:37... Amen
