Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Over the weekend, my sister, her boyfriend and myself attended "The Way of the Master" www.thewayofthemaster.com. Which was co-led by Kirk Camero (Growing Pains) whom is an evangelist. Anyway, during the "seminar", one of the speakers randomly taught on False Converts. He said that one must repent and then put his faith in Christ to be saved. You do not simply say a prayer and ask Christ into your heart because that's not Biblical (the heart thing). I believe with all of my heart that I put my faith in Christ when i was around the age of 8. Now, at 8 years old, I wasn't selling drugs, cussing, selling my body, or any other sin like that. So, I don't believe that I repented of my sins, considering I haven't committed any. Now, because I didn't repent of my sins, does that mean I'm not saved?
I tried praying but nothing seems to go through. I've read some scripture and talked with my family but I keep coming back to my original argument. "I put my complete faith in Christ as a child and as the years have gone by, I've grown greatly as a Christian." < That's my testimony.
I can't seem to fully accept either argument and would love to hear from you all. As you read this please, I ask, that you would pray for me as I search for answers.
Your Brother (I think),
