Falling over?

This may seem a peculiar question but I was watching this video on youtube:

and I can't work out why the people are falling over...

It's referred to as "being slayed in the Spirit".

I've experienced much of it in my life, and you have to be very wary of it, and discern with sharpness, because many believe that they are being touched by our Lord Jesus Christ, when in fact it's a counterfeit spirit of deception and seduction of the "angel of light", a orchestrative by sometimes falseness.

Many who are seduced and deceived, and through their desire, sensitivity, and feeling they keep on going up for prayer and keep on falling down on the floor. At this point it then becomes an obsession and an addiction.

The next phase of this counterfeit they then begin to stagger around as if intoxicated, and is referred to a "being drunk in the Spirit".

Now I know as well as most Christians that our Lord Jesus Christ wouldn't want to be embarrassing His Children with them continually going up just to fall on the floor believing that they are being touched by God.

Now on the other side of the record, they are not counterfeits, and many have been touched by our Almighty God, and receive a healing.

But, I can assure you that many get hooked on this phenomena, and by doing so, the "angel of light" comes in and takes over, and it all becomes a show.

So, this is where you use your Spiritual Gifts of discerning of spirits, and at the same time test the spirits as well.

Many are false, and then some are for real, and are working with the Holy Spirit.

As I said I've experienced it many times, but don't allow yourself to be fooled, because we live in those "perilous days" of seducing and deceiving spirits.

I've seen cases where a number of people keep on going up and falling over, and shaking and rolling, and stagerring around like a drunk.

And when asked if they believe that it's the Holy Spirit that is coming onto them all the time. And they where challenged to test the spirits, by praying a prayer that if it's not of God then they don't want it. Then guess what happened they never fell over again or rocked and rolled, or staggerred around.

But, they still occasionally where touched by the Holy Spirit and did get a healing.

Be aware, beware and never be unaware.

The closest thing that comes to it is Peter's rooftop vision, and that happened when he was alone. You can't compare that to what happens at some charismatic rallies, where there have been reports of 250-pound men being "slain" on top of rail-thin girls. There have also been reports of people who the pastor or whoever can't "slay" and he tries to push them down or he gets mad at them for not submitting to God. This isn't in line with Scripture either.

There have also been reports of people who the pastor or whoever can't "slay" and he tries to push them down or he gets mad at them for not submitting to God. This isn't in line with Scripture either.

I do not trust mankind,But only my LORD!
I also know satan is the great deceiver and a tricker!
GOD can work any way!
But ,we are not to follow men ever.The LORD does not want this.
Many do things and other count them highter than others?
This is not good.Many follow pastors or teachers and NOT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
WE are to HEAR HIM and FOLLOW HIM.
Anything that takes HIS GLORY and HONOR is not good!
If we are BORN AGAIN?[born of GOD same] Then we have GODS HOLY GHOST dwelling in us and all the gifts signs and wonders in us as well.HE gives these things!

I believe the one twistedsketch was referring to is in Acts 10 ……you should read the entire chapter.
The word used for vision in this chapter is the Greek word optomai which means seeing objectively, or envisioning …………. within “the minds eye”

No, that isn't "slain in the Spirit." These people were the mob who hated Jesus and wanted to arrest Him. They did not have the Spirit.

Yes, Acts 10. Peter fell into a trance and had a vision. Of the friends I've had who claimed to be slain, they said they had visions as well. This is as close as the Bible comes to describing the phenomenon, and it may even be something totally different, as Peter's vision happened in seclusion and not in a wild, emotional worship service. Scripture calls for orderly worship in 1 Corinthians 14, and as I've said before, those stories of "slaying" people on top of each other do not fit the profile of orderly worship. Neither does getting mad at someone not falling over when you think you're the person to topple them:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. If someone's not acting like that in charismatic worship, then they are not under the influence of the Spirit. And it calls into question everything that happens under their influence.

They feel over b/c they were filled with the holy spirit. It comes upon you so strong that at times you can no longer stand anyone. Another word for slain in the spirit is resting in the spirit. There are references to falling to our knees, but not backwards, in the Spirit's presence. What surprises me is that people still hold to the slaying of the Spirit when there is no Scriptural evidence. If there is, please provide some.
