I slipped back into my pre-christian habits this weekend...please pray that I will have the strength to resist temptations and make good decisions, instead of destroying myself with sin and lonliness.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dawn there's a very easy way to overcome lonliness.Do you have any idea how many lonely people there are walking right past you everyday while you refuse to greet them?Just saying hi to people on the sidewalk will remove your lonliness.But a still better way is to join a small group at church whether it be a singles group or bible study group.But the very best way to overcome lonliness is to put your Christian beliefs to work and start helping others by working for a volunteer group or organization.It's literally impossible to be lonely while you are doing what Jesus told us to do - help one another.
Ok now we can solve the sin problem.Stop thinking sin.You're planning to engage in it.Jesus said if your right hand causes you to sin,cut off your right hand.Before you get that drastic though,why don't you try a cold shower and then some good Christian videos.An even better way is to hook up with an accountability partner at church.Someone you can call and talk to when you're feeling weak and tempted.But the very best way is to keep praying for the baptism of the Holy Spirit so you can feel the presence of Jesus.He'll take care of both lonliness and sin.
