  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Fall's a beautiful time to take outdoor pics. I took these last fall on a walk around my neighborhood.

I've had some fun retouching one of your pictures (the fifth one) with photoshop. Just check out the difference it makes. If you want, I can send you the full resolution version and I may also delete it from my computer if you don't want me to use it. Anyway, be careful with your pictures, it's not very safe to put the full resolution pics on the Internet.

Anyway, with this little retouching, I just want to urge everyone of you to try some retouching, it is so amazing, and it makes your picture so much more 'professional', lol. Anyway, Photoshop (Elements) is a tremendous tool.

For some of you interested in what I've done, actually I worked with Photoshop Elements 3,
- I first started by doing a shadow/highlight change (I only darkened the grass),
- than I put a level adjustment layer to get a better impression of depth of field and to balance a bit all the luminosity
- I added a brightness/contrast adjustment layer and toyed a bit with it
- and finally I added a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to accentuate a bit the red, yellow and green color (not too much otherwise it wouldn't have seem very nice with the barrier
If you want to learn about taking picture along with photoshoping, www.radiantvista.com is a brilliant site, and also with great video podcasts, I learn incredibly lot with them.
God bless you

roseglass6370, you did really some nice pictures, especially because of the framing (beautiful, really, and the colors also, amazing), but the main problem is that most of your pictures aren't sharp, so too much blur... you should be careful when holding your camera not to move too much, and/or to choose a little exposure, and/or to use a tripod (especially when you subject isn't moving, like landscapes).

BlessedOverAll, thanks a bunch for the retouching...the changes you made are BEAUTIFUL. After some advice from people on this forum, I might be taking the full resolution photos off soon.

Also, thank you for your advice about the sharpness of the pictures...I might try investing in a tripod. :)
