Hello:wave:

This is a message of encouragement:)

If anyone here is serving in the little things, if you are behind the scenes and think your effort is not noticed, if you are doing a 'little thing' in your fellowship to serve and help out then be encouraged!

Your Father sees what is done, even in secret (Matt 6:6)

Your Father will reward a good and faithful servant who has been faithful in even the smallest things. One day you will hear those words 'well done my good and faithful servant' (Matt 25:21)

No work for the Lord is ever wasted (1 Cor 15:58)

If you are thinking of serving in some area do not be put off by appearances, the Lord looks on the heart!

Even if you volunteer just to wash dishes one sunday to give another person a break: that person will appreciate you and the Lord will reward you.

Even if you just give a hurting person a friendly smile, a kind word or a listening hear, you will make a difference to that person and the Lord will reward you!

You are so correct saint.
I repent of not minding the little things, the things that do not get front page news. The old lady that needs help getting to the doctors. The single mom who is alone with a baby. The Pastor who is struggling to make a ministry with nobody to stand with him.
The little things.
I repent.

oh my, i promise this is so weird, but me and my b/f were actually discussing this very thing the other day. And actually i blogged something to this effect about encouragement, and how God will/have used others, (in this case my b/f) to be an encouragement to us. i am going to have to email this link to him :) .

sweet! thanks

If you think you are too small to make a difference then you have never been in bed with a mosquito!

:D

Thatis exactly how I felt today - too small to make a difference. So I gave up, wept buckets and felt helpless.

But thank you - you exposed the lie. Because it isn't about the way we measure ourselves, it's about the hidden power inside us isn't it?

Just as the mosquito's tiny bite can cause a rumpus on the largest body, let's cause a Holy Spirit rumpus wherever we go, even if we feel small!

You're such a blessing Lismore.

i come from a background that seen and knew the little things mattered and we didnt take for granted.

Mom and Dad were always hard workers and of course Mom threw me in the kitchen with sink full of dishes and my older brother...yuk! lol, jk. But i hated doing the dishes with him, we always fought standing only inches from eachother with sleeves of our shirts touching.

He never did the dishes right. I was used to washing and rinsing them with hot, scolding water. Well he used ice cold water . Tried to tell him dont you know you have to use hot water to rinse the dishes right to make sure the soap rinses off completely??? And i was only around 9 or 10. I was particular about how I did them. So finally i started asking my mom not to let my brother do the dishes with me..... Got him out of the kitchen and outta my face!! At first, she insisted we do them together. But i was 'faithful' in having to keep asking her. I finally convinced her that they'd get done quicker if he wasnt in there - :p

But i was adement about doing the dishes my way, and making sure my brother steared clear of that kitchen, which obviously i knew he didnt mind. What boy at the age of 12-13 wanted to get stuck doing the dishes instead of skateboarding? Not one!!

And now, 17 yrs later I cant stand to see dishes in my sink! Go figure!
