LESSON: Faith has to be expressed through corresponding actions. However, the corresponding action has to be led by the Holy Spirit, who teaches us all things, taking what is of the Father and declaring it to us. The followings are a few ways to know if the corresponding action is as led by the Spirit:
- It is complementary to what you're believing God for, not opposed to it
- It is not a substitute for God's power. As it works alongside (complement), there will always be an emptiness that only God can fulfill. E.g. Although the people were able to bring the paraplegic to the Lord, he still needed to speak the healing word for the power to be released to heal the paraplegic. Therefore, Don't hesitate to apply for job opportunities or admissions, for example, even if you feel unqualified. However, continue to seek ways to develop yourself to enhance your chances of success.
- Following the 2nd point above, it does not take the glory that belongs to God and give it to another person or thing.
