Faith and mental illness

I suffer with depression which caused psychosis according doctors. I hear voices in my head and I have anxiety attacks. The joy of the Lord is my strength. We walk by faith not sight which means that we dont look at our hardship which is temporary but we look at eternal things instead.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

The Lord is my friend. He puts joy in my heart. I have battles but I have love too.

I'm thankful for the beauty of creation because it reminds me that God gives us life. I'm thankful for food. Im thankful for the joy and love in my heart. I'm thankful for a hobby that gives me something fun to do.

The Joy of the Lord. I have mental illness that is hard to live with, but I have joy, peace, and love too. I can't explain this. I just walk by faith and not by sight. I'm looking to heaven and eternal life not the hardship of this world. Or I try to anyway. It's what we are supposed to do.

Nothing can get me down. The Lord is my helper. If I feel sad or fearful I lay down and talk to my precious Lord. I wait or I sleep it off. But my joy will be back.

The mental illness wearies me. But I have so much hope inside. I need to get out of the house. That will help me a lot I think.

I need rest. Tomorrow will be better. Rest in the Lord. How delightful that is.

When I'm weak I'm strong. I almost wish to be hurt so the Lord will comfort me. I guess that sounds stupid but I love him.

I need sleep but my mind won't rest. The love in my heart and the coffee won't let my mind rest. I love the Lord. I love coffee.
