How did you imply this? There is no such thing as a "good" Christian. Only two choices.....Either a person is a sinner saved from the wrath to come under the shelter and mercy of the blood of Jesus Christ or is still "lost" as a sinner.Newmom123 said:And respectfully, I am offended that your statement implies that those who support Moore's movie are probably not good Christians...
Based on statements MMoore has made, his philosophies are at enmity with God and opposed to God's righteousness. And before anyone is saved, we are all at enmity with God. (see Col 1:21)Newmom123 said:And I don't believe that by supporting this eye-opening movie is tearing down Christian values at all.
dittos....without a standard of justice and righteousness anything goes. That why I believe it is important to keep God's Laws and Word as the only standard of measure for this. It never moves even when if we do and can show us how far short we have come to His holy standard. www.areyougood.usIt is our responsibility NOT to blindly accept injustice and wrongdoing.
That link, fahrenheit_fact.blogspot.com , if you look at the right side of the page and scroll down long enough, it has links to sites that talk about the "facts" of the movie, both pro and con.Diakonos said:I didn't see one article that even hinted around that Moore made any good points(not even the second link that you said had "Pros and Cons". Maybe I just didn't see them).
Why do you say this? I certainly see a greater appreciation for human life and equality than can be found in this administration.timusic76 said:It appears Michael Moore doesn't fear God. However, we can pray for him.
"Fair and balanced" is the slogan for Fox News and Rupert Murdoch's propaganda machine. Moore doesn't pretend to show all sides, he shows a side we don't get to see. I admire the restraint of not showing the dead of 9/11. The soundtrack over the black screen was absolutely chilling. But your question would seem to imply that you see a connection between 9/11 and Iraq. There is none. Saddam was an evil man but his crimes against his own people were never given as a reason for our war.desi said:So was the movie balanced? Did they show images of dead Americans after the 911 attacks? Did they show Saddam's torture and rape rooms? Did they show the CNN footage of Kurd villages decimated by Saddam's chemical weapons? Was it fair and balanced, or was it a dog and pony show?
I think its great that Fox news is getting the attacks from the left because it means they might finally be balancing out other networks to the left. I also believe people are purposely ignoring the difference between commentaryopinion shows and the reporting of news on Foxnews channel. If you think Hannity and Colmes, Bill O'reilly and other similar commentors are reporting news (ie. Rush Limbaugh, Micheal Medved, Cal Thomas, etc) they aren't because they are not news reporters! They never meant to report news like a reporter is suppose to but to make comments and opinions on it!"Fair and balanced" is the slogan for Fox News and Rupert Murdoch's propaganda machine.

He needs Jesus in his life.
It's foolish to attempt to imply that a person who is at emnity with God is never telling the truth, and never right about anything. As soon as one finds an atheist who agrees with a devout believer on any matter - be it the economy, the war, or whatever - your claim fails. What's more, there are atheists who think Michael Moore is a liar - just as there are atheists who think he's telling the truth.timusic76 said:Based on statements MMoore has made, his philosophies are at enmity with God and opposed to God's righteousness. I wasn't attempting to imply this. Didn't mean it come accross that way if it did. We're all at enmity with God before we are converted for that matter. Also, I was attempting to point out that statements MMoore has made has shown his opposition to God.pthalomarie said:It's foolish to attempt to imply that a person who is at emnity with God is never telling the truth, and never right about anything
I have not read Moore's statements on religion. But in terms of his political beliefs and activism, they're irrelevant. What Moore knows or doesn't know about Iraq or Bush is completely seperate from his opinion on Jesus.timusic76 said:I wasn't attempting to imply this. Didn't mean it come accross that way if it did. Does the President need to be a Christian to run the country?pthalomarie said:I have not read Moore's statements on religion. But in terms of his political beliefs and activism, they're irrelevant. What Moore knows or doesn't know about Iraq or Bush is completely seperate from his opinion on Jesus.
Think of it this way: does your doctor need to be a Christian in order to diagnose your illness?
Not neccessarily. I would prefer it, but we've had plenty of bad Christian presidents, and we've had good presidents who were deists or doubters. There is no evidence that faith is significant factor which by definition enhances anyone's expertise in a worldy occupation.TriZz said:Does the President need to be a Christian to run the country?
