• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I use facebook some, but not alot. I find the groups to be somewhat annoying. everyone joins a ton of groups just to say they are in them, then nothing happens with the groups. message boards are mostly inactive unless the group has 100 members, then people want to post advertisements or something. i go onto the site when i get an email that says someone wants to be your friend, thats about it...

I don't believe he did that. I believe the problem may be that facebook have more members than connectU. Now how would facebook get the code if it was placed on the web before connectU?
According to the article, the guy who started facebook worked on the connectU project before he started facebook.

I think facebook may have to pay the connectU people some money, but I don't think the site is gonna go under.

Personally, facebook isn't helpful to me. I once tried to find help about some classes that I missed, but nothing helpful has ever come out of it.lol. I guess Facebook is the same as Myspace, Friendster, etc.

ha i was so going to post the same fact that its just like myspace...only college oriented and not as fancy in my opinion. i'm sure if the creaters of myspace (Tom..lol) really wanted to, they could make a college counterpart...(hope im using the right terminology..)

Did you try registering with your college email address? The one that ends with .edu, I mean. Or maybe, if you go to a really small/obscure school, it hasn't gotten there yet.

People use it for a lot of different things. I mostly use it to keep track of my HS friends and join groups with funny names, like I said above. It can also be a good way to spread information about events and stuff like that.

We have our own email addresses here, but they don't end with .edu. And Poland is not even on the list on Facebook...

I agree. I have a place on MySpace, but I don't use it as much as facebook. Really I just joined because I knew people there.
