His estranged ex-wife says he was in Alabama when Jon Bonet Ramsey was murdered. He claimed to have drugged her, yet the autopsy reported no drugs of any kind in her system.

I didn't hear that part of it. Why one earth would someone confess to murdering someone if they didn't.

There are a lot of drugs that will not show up on most tests. If the doctor's didn't specifically test for certain medications or foreign substances, they wouldn't have shown up. SO he still could have drugged her

The REAL question is this:

What drives a person to admit to a crime he/she did not commit?

Is is attention seeking, is it the wish to die, but not having the guts to take your own life, is it having large amounts of "guilt" stored up inside them that somehow needs a release, or is it simply a case of being "nuts"?

Any ideas????

(BTW, in my way of thinking, the REAL culprits are the parents of the murdered girl......dressing her up like a tart and putting her on display......... and.... what does it say about the society we live in, to have such "beauty pageant" events for very young children anyway. In a certain sense "we are all guilty".....)
