the sexual references are there only if you make thenm come about if i member correctly. for instance, if you start ...ummm....'humping the air' kinda (sounds vulgar, sorry, but thats the only way i can think of to describe it and get the point across) you will get some kinda reaction from the people around. if you keep flirtingk, the girls will eventually become your sweetheart or whatever...its basically up to you as for wether or not there are any sexual references. if my knowledge serves me correctly.

Also, all you people whining about having to wait....hahaha.man...life bites.
I preordered the game, and i SHOULD have been able to pick it up Wednesday, BUT NO! Hurricane IVan decided it wwanted to visit Pensacola!!!!!! it had other plans! so basically,k i'm now without power to play the game even if the store was open and i could pick up my preordered copy!
So i SHould be playing it, but the stores' closed, and i don't have power anyways...*sniff* cry me a river, someone else build me a bridge, and i'll get over it.

I just got the game last night, I almost passed on it, due to the many games I'm going to be buying this quarter.
But I'm glad I bought it, its a very nice change of pace.

This game had alot of hype building up for the past 2 years, and so far it hasn't lived up to it. But that doesn't mean it is not a great game, it is.
I would give it a 9 so far, but I only have like 3 or 4 hours into it. So I'm sure the game is going to do better as I progress into it.

Its a cross between Kotor and Zelda as far as play goes.
Kotor has the ability to be good or evil, and so does fable. It is all based on what you do. If you steal from people, you get points on the evil side. If you do good, then you recieve points for the good.
But unlike KOTAR, it isn't turn based rpg. Its an action rpg, just like zelda. Which is great, becuase this field is lacking on them.

i just finished playing it. Its not much of a challenge, the final boss was easy compared to a few of the other bosses, and even some plain monsters.

still a great game though, i love the fact that you can be insanely totally evil! (like killing your sister...wow, thats cruel, cruel enough for you to grow horns!)

I know the RP element is stronger than I'm used to. I started a new game last night to play evil and at the first part in Oakvale I came upon the bully and the little boy with the teddy bear. Being evil I smacked the little boy and his crying and dialogue really made me feel aweful. :( It's going to take a bid of effort on my part but that will just add to the enjoyment. umm, I hope anyway. :D
don't go soft, you're evil remember?

i played through it doing everything possibly evil.

and though it may seem impossible (what with the horns, flies and red eyes) you can still get women to fall in love with you.....using the good old diamonds...

Hahaha! Fable ROCKS!

Just what I expected. Though I was a little bummed because it wasn't a free ranged game like Morrowind. Still a must have title if you own an Xbox.

Hey is anybody tanning? I can seem to get a tan, my skin is practically white.

yeah, you can get a halo, its kinda dim, but you can see it. Plus theres a shaft of light that follows you. I think the evil effects are more catchy, like the glowing red eyes, the red cloud near your feet, but i don't know about the flies though....

Right you are!! Silly me. My new guy, Sidious, is currently the scourge of Greatwood with his nice gear (so generously funded by the good people of Bowerstone) and people cower before him. It's much more interesting and he "is now evil enough to use the give the finger expression." ^_^^_^^_^

I have to say, as much as I love this game, I was slightly let down by a few important things.

1) It was WAY too short. I know that I tend to abuse games and beat them in insanely short periods of time. But this one barely took me a weekend. And I didn't just follow the main plot, I did everything I could (with no FAQs).

2) It was too easy as well. Once again, I am a competitive gamer, so I tend to find the ways that are optimal to beat games, but there are certain combos in this game that are unbeatable.

For my Will User, mana shield + enflame + will potions = unstoppable. I have gotten his combat multiplier as high as 47. All a melee fighter need is a good sword, and berserk or multi-hit. I was once shotting nearly everything with multi-hit. The same thing goes for my Archer. Force push along with multi-arrow means he one shots nearly everything and never gets touched. Far too easy.

3) It was too linear. The game was so much fun to play that I wanted more, a lot more. I wanted to roam around to villages and either help or kill all the people there. I wanted to find, explore and discover. I wanted grand side-quests that would take me hours. Not one-shot side missions.

4) Not enough variety in weapons and armor. I like finding new and cool weapons and armor that look different and do different things. As it was, armor was only useful to increase your A/R, attractiveness, or alignment. The Will User's robes should have increased magic power, but they don't, the assasins suit should have granted a guile bonus or a sneak attack or something, but it didn't. For the most part armor just looks different and protects differently. Ideally, your warrior, archer, and will user should all wear plate armor, because it protects the best. Oh, and there was no plate helm! *** is with that?

While I am very critical of certain aspects of the game it is because I loved it so much. When a game is just so much FUN to play, you want to MORE of it. t is fun to roam around and throw tavern parties, to marry wives in every village, to have people cheer for you and swoon over you. I WANT MORE FABLE!

I agree completely. Too bad they decided to dump the multiplayer. That would rule. Maybe they'll come up with some downloadable content or something.

wow, you touched on everything i though was wrong with the game. also, the fact that there weren't many helms at all kinda got me thinking, "we're are they all at?!"
Also, the weapons and armor weren't very diverse, sure there were alot of types, but the ran along this: sword, axe, bow/arrrow. Yes i know the cleaver isn't a sword, but look at it...its a sword, and the pickaxe? uh, axe...same for the greataxe. And sure there was a crossbow but that still just fired arrows...what happened to spears...or throwing stars? or claws for fists or something?

bah!
still a great game though

From what I hear, the game is actually a new "engine".
Engines I hear take a long time to design and make. Once they are made, then other games follow much quicker.

So the game may be short, and without a multi player. But don't let that stop you from buying it.
This game is a must buy, or if you play 12 hours a day, a must rent.

If there is enough time, there will be games that blow this one out of the water. Using the same game engine.
