It's pretty cold here. Was supposed to snow overnight but it didn't. It's around 30 degrees here...brrrr!!!

My oldest daughter is 21. Both girls are still home with me and I'm loving (most times) every minute of it.

I slept in for the first time in years!! No joke; no, I didn't JUST get up , I woke up at 8:00 a.m.; I honestly haven't done that in soooo long; usually 6:00 is late.

Hi! Unkempt is kinda nice, sometimes; that's what I'm doing today, too.
yeah, it's serious, but life goes on, and it was prayed about, so it must be in the will of God.

Goodness, I stuck my head out this a.m., and stuck it back in and did church online!!
It is only 49 degrees here, and that's along drop from the usual 110.
My body is not insulated enough to go outside!!

62F is the temperature our thermostat is set at through the night ... 42F sounds like a heat wave! ... we're going to have temps in the 30's this week tho, but unfortunately it will probably melt off what's left of the snow leaving us with another beige Christmas ... but that's okay ... we have loads of snow in the mountains

... anyway, good afternoon everyone. One week till Christmas and two weeks to the new year. woo hooo!

Okay. How are you doing? Have a praise report and some prayer requests for the thread. So will post those soon.

Went to hubby's Christmas party tonight. He got a really nice gift, a brand new DVD player, and a 50.00 Christmas bonus. It is family owned. Anyway, got a job offer from another AAA company, that I wanted him to check on for more money, and now I am thinking twice about it. I know that God is good, and he will supply us, but the last thing I want to do is jump out in front of Him again. I think I am finally learning a little bit here. Not to jump out in front of the One who knows what He is doing. I don't want to find myself in this same position, because I looked at $$ signs and not to Him again. As I looked around tonight, at that place, I saw real dedicated people. I saw a boss who has his employees best interest at heart. And I wonder if moving out from under that covering is a good thing.

Tricia, it is hard for me to "let go and let God" most of the time. I know it's best but when I do it I think "I"'m in the know. Well, I'm not. It's a lesson I keep learning over and over again.

I know. I am just being torn this morning at what the pros and cons are of staying and leaving. And I have to say that going would be a better way to go altogether at this point. He is making me look at what could be, if my husband chooses to go. Ultimately it will be what's best for us, even if it's only a couple of dollars more, the living expense won't be as it is here, for what we had here, we can pay about 900.00 out there, which would be doable. It would still be a struggle, but right now, I can't see a lot of things happening, unless he takes that job. But then other factors play into it also. Wear and tear on the car, gas, stuff like that. So, it's like what do you do? I'm almost afraid to take a chance, because I am constantly getting knocked down for doing it.

Tricia, I would ask God for His will to be done, and ask Him straight out to open and/or close the doors that are needed. He can slam the door on the new job IF He doesn't want you to go. But you do have to pray that. I just believe that has worked for His will in my life. I let Him know I was willing, either way, but He would have to show me.
