As a number on this thread have in fact admitted - they simply have not read the material.

This is not the part that is rocket science for the objective unbiased readers.

I have no problem admitting to that fact.

In the mean time the short-sighted solution "If I pretend not to see anything no other reader can see it either" is sort of like the child that places their hands over their own eyes and imagines that nobody else can see them once they do that.

I would prefer serious responses -- no matter if you agree with the theology in the text or not.

Very formulamatic is a nice term

Take the book of Rev. Add in a tremendous amount of superfluous drama/melodrama, a sprinkle of mandatory doctrinal requirement (the 4th commandment) to fire up the supposed good guys and voila, you have the makings of a sectarian religious play script good for Sunday school, er, ah, Saturday school children.

One is better off reading Rev. without all the extra biblical nonsense attached to it by EGW.

In a few cases God gives prophets an eyewitness account of the end of the world, or of creation in 6 literal days ... etc.

Some have argued that they find eyewitness accounts of the end of the World - the Second Coming - to be boring.

Do you agree?

IMO - nobody can actually read the last chapter of the Great Controversy and then claim it is boring.

Not sure I understand this part. How could Christ come back down to earth after the 1000yrs if the heaven and earth are no more?
