  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey:wave:

Do you think that people with darker eyes (hazel, brown) and dark eye lashes natural, should wear the same amount of eyeliner as some one who has light coloured eyes (blue, green, grey)?
I have hazel eyes, I like eyeliner and I wear quite a bit of it -my mum thinks I over do it, but at the same time she thinks my friend who has blue eyes looks nice when here eyes are lined as heavily as mine :S

Another question: Personally, when you apply eyeliner where do put it? just on the upper lid? only on the lower lid? both lids? etc, etc...

:)

I've seen many girls with light eyes and very dark eyes wearing the same amount of eyeliner, even more or less. Never did i think it was over done or bad looking. Eyeliner with light eyes enchances the eyecolor, as it may seem, and make your eyes 'pop'. Eyeliner around dark eyes defines the eye shape and looks pretty.

You may do what you like, put it on your lid and lower lid (as i do) or just do either way. I have friends who only put it on their top lid, and some who only apply liner on the bottom. However, i swing both ways at times, lols.

Also keep in mind that you dont always have to use a 'black' liner. Play around with other colors. I noticed that using a navy blue eyeliner makes my dark brown eyes look hazelish. Play around. :)

I have brown/green eyes and I always wear black liner. I think it looks great IMO. Obviously, it will look darker on you because you don't have the light eyes to contrast it.

My personal preference is the upper lid only. Adding eyeliner to the top and bottom lids will actually make your eyes look smaller.

I lovvve my eyeliner, i have light eyes so it helps bring them out, but yeah, i say wear eyeliner the way that you think looks best, eg, if you think that you look better with it heavier than do that and visa-versa! I love my eyeliner on the bottom and just slightly on the top.

I apply it on the outside - but I have trouble with it too. I heard liquid eyeliner's easier to apply... but it doesn't seem easier to apply so I've been very hesitant to try it! lol for like 4 years how! One day...

And a brown would look great with blue eyes right...? lol

This isn't necessarily the most informative thing in the world but it has a pick of the colours of eyeshadows and pencil that would make blue eyes pop! Hope this helps

Almay has color cordinated eyeshadow, eyeliners, and mascara. It's made to match with the color of your eyes. Almay is pretty afordable. I suggest trying that. I don't like putting eyeliner underneath my eyes. I think it makes me look like a raccoon.

With my very dark brown eyes I wear alot of black eyeliner, I puy on the outside of my uper and lower lid. I put it on heavy on the top to kinda look like a dark eye shadow. This gives me a more mysterius and smoky look.

black eyeliner can always seem quite harsh if you wear to much...
i used to wear brown, but realised...cuz i have hazel eyes, it didnt really make that much of a difference, so moved on 2 black.
Black eyeliner can reallly look pretty niftyfied with blue eyes, contrast goes really well... especially if ya have dark hair...not dark dark...but ya know, not light.
Ohh and i apply it to bottom lid...i applied it 2 top lid and its never come off =S how weird eh!?

I don't wear eyeliner at the moment..Liquid makes me look funny and the pencil dosn't work for me..

Maybe you can try a softer colour - like brown? I use a raison/plum colour because it's supposed to look good against green eyes - a brown'll look good like blue eyes etc.
