Eyelash Curling Question

So I finally found a eyelash curler that actually works (well, for me anyway )

My question is - when do you curl your eyelashes, before or after you put on eyeliner? I always do it after, and then I end up smearing up my liner (hence the problem). Does this happen to anyone else or I am just doing something wrong here

.....oh, and I should add that I use a pencil eyeliner.

That's how I do it too Never had any problems.

Oh, I might add, I only use eye liner under my eyes so when I curl my lashes the curler doesn't touch any of the liner. If you are using eye liner above your eye you might try curling your lashes and then applying the liner.

Hmmmm.... It's obviously something I'm doing wrong. I'm kind of new to the curling.

I'm talking about the liner on the eyelid. Doing the curling before I put on the liner didn't make sense to me. I figured the lashes might become uncurled by time I got done fussing with putting on the eyeliner

put the eyeliner on afterwards...it works out much better

Eyeliner after! No worries about mussing your lashes, if you have curled them correctly, they should stay for hours, especially if you have a good mascara.

And, if they STILL don't stay curled, trying blasting them quickly with a hair dryer while they are in the curler. Works like a curling iron. But, the lashes need to cool down, to keep their shape, as does the curler BEFORE YOU DO YOUR OTHER EYE.

I had this problem too. Now I use a waterproof liner(Revlons) and I wait 3 mins. I then curl my lashes cos if I try and line my eyes with curly lashes i am all thumbs.

After liner. I find if I try to apply liner after curling my lashes, I sort of can't get behind them to line, if that makes sense.

I usually apply liquid/gel liner, then fill my brows in, that way it's had time to dry before I curl. I'm always wiping down my eyelash curler though; with powder shadow and liner, it's bound to get some fallaway on the rubber part.

I usual apply eye liner afterwords. It looks better and works much better than best.

well before the eyeliner is the best time as there will be no chance of smudging things up.
All you need to do is firmly clasp the eyelash curler on the base of your lash roots.

Aways after the liner and before the mascara, mine doesn't usually smudge.

I curl my lashes before eyeliner to prevent smudging the liner. I use Revlon Colorstay eyeliner, but I don't go the entire upper and lower eyelid like some people do. I like to just do the outer corners and about the first 1/3 of the upper lid and first 1/4 of the lower to add dimension. I then use white or a pearl-colored highlight for the rest of my water line and my inner corner.
