It is because in a debate forum, people want to make the best, most extreme case that they can. So they pull out all the stops and push every issue and point as far out as they can. In the case of WOF, we find ourselves being called everything from gnostics to mormons...
Truth is, we are to some extant outside the orthodox. But that is not a bad thing. Jesus was too. So was Paul, and the rest. So were all the prophets, and everyone else who chooses to follow after the Spirit rather than the letter. It comes with the territory.
If you happen to lay claim to being "orthodox", do not think that that somehow frees you up from having to obey the Word of God. You will not be able to stand before God and lay it on 2000 years of church history, Martin Luther, Calvin, Knox, or anyone else. You are responsible for your faith... not they. WOF folks do depart in that they do not rely on their leaders, despite what the critics say. I do not care what Hagin, Copeland, or any of the others say. If it does not jibe with the Word... forget it. I stickin with Jesus.
