Luckily I've never been zapped... yet. I have had some of my clip leads blown up though. Was hooking up a PFN circuit for a flash lamp and my lab partner hooked up all the inductors wrong, shorting them all. So we send a few hundred volts at I forgot how many amps and my clip leads get blown apart and one flies across the room. Both of them had the insulation blackened at where they connected. I'm just glad we haven't messed up with an E-Gun yet. 10KV+ at 30ish amps I think it can run at /shudder. Can feel the electricity thru the casing.

Speaking of that, the other day I was getting a jump start in the parking lot of my school. Well the guy I was getting it from was an idiot. Just as I was about to hook up my battery he decides it would be good to try switching the positive and negative cables. Needless to say sparks flew and I nearly died. It melted part of my jumper cable to the bolt I was using as a ground.
