Just wanna point out that that schism wasn't over the papal authority, but over the addition of the filioque (and the Son) to the Nicene Creed

I would agree that papal authority wasn't the only reason for the schism and that the filioque addition was another key reason. Several reasons are outlined in the East/West Schism link including these two.

I have done endless research on cults, sects, denominations, world religions, and I have some advice for all of you: THOSE IN ANY RELIGION OTHER THAN NON DENOMINATED CHRISTIANITY, LEAVE THOSE "RELIGIONS" AND FIND A CHURCH THAT TEACHES THE RIGHT STUFF!!

Now, myself being an ex-atheist, I have done so much freakin' research on this subject, to find the truth, and I am doing this with a sincere heart, being open to the whole, mere truth. You can trust me... Jesus is the way to go... I wouldn't say that just because I want to...

I recommend the book "a case for faith" by lee strobel and "mere christianity" by CS lewis...

Not all denominational churches are cults... I think you need to some more research
