CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Let us follow your line of logic for a moment. You say that the complexity around us means that there is a designer. That something so complicated and complex cannot have sprung from nothingness. Where did the designer come from? If it is so unlikely that we sprang from nothing, why does it seem more likely that an even more complex entity sprang from nothing?Why not? Seems more plausible than evolving over billions of years from primordial goo to the humans we are today...
I find it astonishing how some people can believe that out of nothingness life began (I think that kinda defies science itself, doesn't it?), that some people can believe that, again without a guiding force, everything has come into existence.
If science is your thing then do the math... what are the odds that everything in this universe is just "chance"?
Why is a powerful creator God so unbelievable?
Science is a word used to describe man's efforts to understand how God works... what makes God tick. Some times man gets it right... this time man has it all wrong.

I saw this documentary, and I must say I like it. I'm impressed that the atheist, Richard Dawkins, even admited that there is a "slight chance" for the existence of God, but the way he said it made it sound like that he would sooner believe that extraterrestrial life created the universe (aliens?).
