I would be interested in watching the film, purely on the off-chance that any new informatin could be found proving the wacky concept of creation "science", but I'm not interested in funding such a cause, so unless I can find it available for free I won't be going.
If there really was some sort of opppression going on in the academic world, then I would be very interested in learning about it and writing it. However, what we have in this situation is not a large number of learned scholars, each armed with mountains of verifiable, replicable evidence in support of intelligent design who are being silenced - although this is what is being claimed. Instead, we have a minority who supports intelligent design because of religious convictions, not scientific proof. No one is saying that these people are not free to believe in ID, just that, like anything else, what we teach in schools requires conclusive evidence. If you want to be taken seriously in the academic world, you need to be able to prove your point. That's all. Unfortunately, this film seems to be, from what I've heard, perpetuating the false notion that ID is being denied despite clear and obvious proof in support of it. If that is indeed the premise, than the movie is misleading, which in my opinion further eradicates the standing of individuals who want to be taken seriously in academia without following standard procedure.
