I am not trying to use your forum as a mouthpiece for me to spread Catholic Dogma, I hope you do not think that was my intention with contributing to this threadRhamiel, can an unsaved person be in a state of grace (the same state as a saved person) or a saved person not be in a state of grace? Honest question.
as you know, Catholics have a vastly differant understanding of the "Preservation of Saints"
we believe that people on earth are able to loose their salvation.
so from that viewpoint, I would say that "saved" and "state of grace" would mean the same thing to a Catholic. To be in a state of friendship with God.
an unregenerated person can not be in a state of grace, because they have sin seperating them from God
about demonic possession, we understand that possession is an affliction that a demon does to the body, it is not something that happens to a persons soul, like all afflictions it can be seen as a cause for dispair or a chance to trust in the goodness and mercy of God
