Father in Heaven, Thank you for putting Christians in every nation to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are so many nations in the world that persecute Christianity and ban the Bible. Some countries make it illegal to own Bibles and and other countries make it extremely difficult to import Bibles. The Bible is God's word to man. We are commanded by God to spread His Word to all the peoples in all the lands. Hear our prayers, O LORD, for all our brethren, some whom we might know personally, whose calling it is to spread the Gospel, to physically disseminate the Bible, to translate the Bible into the different languages of the world, that they may have the freedom to do so in all the lands to all of the peoples. May the power of the Holy Spirit guide them. God's will be done. In Jesus' name. Amen.

If trends continue, North Korea will no longer be the world’s worst persecutor of Christians.

For decades, North Korea has clearly been the world’s worst persecutor of Christians. But now, another nation nearly matches it.

Open Doors released today its 2018 World Watch List (WWL), an annual ranking of the 50 countries where it is most dangerous to follow Jesus. Approximately 215 million Christians now experience high, very high, or extreme levels of persecution; that means 1 in 12 Christians live where Christianity is “illegal, forbidden, or punished,” according to Open Doors researchers. Father in Heaven, Thank you for the protections we enjoy, many of us, but not all, are safe from imminent physical harm from evil-doers, yet all of us are constantly under attack from the evil one. Watch over them, they who reside in the many countries that persecute people of the Christian faith. Watch over all of us, be our shield from the evil one. Be a shield for all who may assemble in your name and worship you freely. God's will be done. In Jesus' name.

Persecution Will Come

16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; 18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. 23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
